Every aim is being made to reduce the carbon footprint, or human impact, that the Forum North Health & Safety Conference will make on the environment. In order to reach neutral status, Forum North will be offsetting the remaining carbon footprint by reinvesting in an equal amount of sustainable resources.

Forum North is following IAPA's guidance in using the International ISO 14064-1 process as a guide for identifying, managing and reporting this conference's carbon footprint.  This conference, along with IAPA's regional conferences, will be registered in the Canadian Standards Association's GHG CleanStart™ Registry and undertake third party verification.

What can you do to help reduce Forum North's Carbon Footprint?

Complete and submit a travel tracking card. This card will be provided to all delegates, exhibitors and session leaders at the conference and will provide information on distance and mode of transportation associated with attending Forum North.

Limit quantity of paper handouts. Although we are not suggesting this is a "paper free" conference, we would encourage you to join us in making every effort to reduce the quantity where possible.

Utilize the recycling facilities provided for glass bottles, plastic, paper, etc.

Reduce use of energy in your hotel room. Turn off lights, TV, air conditioning/heater and close the drapes when you leave your hotel room for the day.
